Original Television Score
The Sound of 1980s Television
For Knight Rider, Don combined orchestration with analog synthesizers to create music that could move with the series’ action and pace.
Across 77 episodes, the score moved from the main theme to suspense, travel, and chase cues. The music had to support the characters and keep the story moving.
This release gathers themes and cues from that period and preserves the sound of the original production.

Preserving the Recordings.
Preparing a release for modern listeners involves more than a technical transfer. It means identifying the right source, preserving the original character, and presenting it clearly in a current format.
When original reels or session materials are available, the work begins with careful listening and documentation before any new master is prepared.
